Hey makers! This week I want to share with you how to make a DIY knitting bag by adding fabric letters to a cotton bag. This cute little bag keeps my knitting clean, when I take it with me in my tote. I needed a bag to put everything in, like my scissors, needle case, tape measure, knitting needles, yarn and pattern book. This size is just perfect and people always ask me where I got it from. I say it was an easy DIY using scraps of fabric. You need some patience to stitch them onto the bag (if you are hand stitching) but it is worth it!
What you will need
Pencil / paper
· Take a plain cotton bag and decide on your design – what letters you want to cut out.
· With plain paper and a pencil draw out your letters and cut out (or print them and cut out)
· Pin your paper letters to your fabric and cut out.
· Pin your fabric letters onto the front side of your cotton bag and hand sew into place.
Have fun making and let me know what you think....
