Handylittleme takes inspiration from literary themes, mainly looking at the work of Jane Austen. Merging together hand drawn illustrations with fabrics and machine embroidery, adding crochet flowers and collage.

The Journals are mostly designed around characters from Jane Austens novels. With quotations printed in black ink using letterpress letters. The illustrations are mainly drawn with black fine liner and painted with watercolours.

Handylittleme has also created a new line of illustrated cards featuring Regency inspired ladies and cupcakes. These cards will be available to buy on Etsy from the end of June 2010.
