Make an easy crochet mug cozy with this easy pattern for beginners.
The pattern requires basic crochet knowledge, creating a chain and using double crochet for each stitch.
I made this using cotton yarn in two colours and a 4 mm (US G/6) hook. I chose neutral coloured cotton from Rico yarn, in nature (white) and clay (brown).
I then added a square cut wooden button to fasten the cozy around the mug. You can, of course, us any colour combinations and buttons.
*The white mugs are from Zara Home*
There is also another mug cozy pattern in this post, with a different fastening.
This easy crochet pattern is great for any beginners who are learning how to crochet as it is a great project for learning the basic crochet stitches.
The cosy size can also be adapted if you want to make it smaller or larger, just measure the circumference of the mug and adjust the number of stitches you chain.
