This easy to knit men's winter beanie hat would make a wonderful project for a beginner knitter. The knitted beanie hat has a great fit, which you can make longer if you want extra slouch.
This pattern uses knit and purl stitches, to create ribbing and stocking stitch.

Men's Cap Pattern
- 2 balls of Rico Design Creative Melange Chunky in grey 07, which if you knit 2 strands together is suitable for size 10.00mm (US 15) needles.
- Gauge - 5 stitches = 2"
- Set of 10.00mm (US 15) circulars
- Stitch markers
- Scissors/Darning needle/Tape measure
Men's Cap Knitting Pattern
Cast on > 44 sts
1st rnd: K2, P2 to form rib
Knit in rib until work from beg measures 2".
Then knit every round until the work from beg measures 9".
Shape top: 1st rnd: *K1. K2tog to last stitch, K1. Rep from * around.
2nd rnd: Knit.
3rd rnd: *K2tog. Rep from * around.
Break yarn. Draw end through rem sts and fasten securely.
Sew in any loose ends.
Approx = Approximately
Beg = Begin(ning)
Cont = Continue(ing)
K = Knit
K2tog = Knit next 2 stitches together
P - Purl
Rem = Remaining
Rep = Repeat
Rnd(s) = Round(s)
St(s) = Stitch(es)
