This infinity scarf pattern is a quick and easy scarf to make, with an interesting stitch pattern known as seed stitch.
The scarf is thick and bulky and will keep you warm during the colder months.
You can wear it for chilly morning school runs, for walking the dog in the park or any other occasion when you need to go out in the cold weather!

What is Seed Stitch?
Knit using the seed stitch, you can view the seed stitch video tutorial to learn how to do this.
When you knit seed stitch whether, in the round or flat, you knit purls and purl the sts as they come up.
This scarf is knit on 24″ circular needles width-wise – so you are knitting the whole length of the scarf until it reaches the width that you want.
I knitted around 10 inches and that was high enough for me, but if you want to make it longer or shorter, it is up to you!

Hello Beth, if you want to knit this scarf flat and then seam it, you would have to knit the seed stitch flat – here is a video tutorial for you to look at – https://www.handylittleme.com/how-to-knit-seed-stitch/ I hope that helps and thanks for visiting the pattern! 🙂

I am excited to try out this scarf! If I use size 10 needles with Lion Brand Acrylic Yarn 545-201 Landscapes Yarn, how many stitches do you suggest I cast on to make it? Thanks!
Louise Bollanos says
Hello Jessica, You could try casting on 160 sts or 170 sts – but you may need more.
I can’t say for sure how that will turn out because you will be using a different needle size and yarn weight to what the pattern suggests.
So you will have to experiment with the cast on number of sts.
I hope that helps!
