Sunday is a typical day of relaxation for many and since I moved to Roda, Corfu, it has meant a day at the beach. Relaxing in the sun, listening to my iPod and reading is just amazing when normally in September in England I would be watching catch up tv in my pyjamas all day. This is the kind of therapy you need after working all week.
We had food at Alexandros Traditional Greek Taverna, which is on the beach and a friendly place to have your food and get an ice cream. I had the Kokinisto which is a beef stew in tomato sauce and for dessert I had a baklava (a sweet pastry filled with cinnamon and spiced nuts then covered in honey syrup). If you are visiting Roda, Corfu anytime soon or next year you must give this place a try. The food is worth the money and it tastes delicious! The ice cream selection includes many flavours including 'bubblegum' which is my husbands favourite!
