Hi makers! Today we visited the Park Guell - designed by Antoni Gaudi. The outer park is free to walk around, but you need a ticket for entry into the inner park, where Gaudi's structures are.
It has been a lovely hot and sunny day, perfect for walking around the park. While waiting for our entry time to the main park, we watched the police round up illegal sellers (bizarre!) and had a long walk around the outer park area. I really enjoyed looking at the tiles mosaics and felt inspired by the many colours and patterns. We had a tour of Gaudi's house (which is 5.50 euros per ticket) and looked at the carved, curved furniture he designed.
Here are some photo's below of our day;
Later on after the park we heard back to the Ramblas and took a walk around the Gothic Quarter. We visited the Cathedral and looked in a few shops. I got a new lip balm from Kiko - a great (and cheap!) cosmetics shop. We had a great meal in the Placa Reial again at a different restaurant this time. Tomorrow is out last day and we are going to the Picasso Museum.
What do you love about Barcelona?
