March sees Lion Brand Yarns introduce 'succulent' as their colour of the month and feeling inspired by this and some of their more neutral knits in vanilla (their colour from January) this month is the perfect time to knit a lightweight sweater, vest, poncho or shawl.
Sweater weather is not only for fall/winter but also for spring and depending on where you live, even summer.
If you live in a hot climate like me, during the summer months of July and August anything knitted might be the last thing you want to wear, but a lightweight knitted wrap or shawl could be useful for late night beach drinks or walks around town.
These kinds of knits can see you through spring/summer and get plenty of wear.
This month welcomes warmer spring weather and with it bringing sun, flowers and lots of green! That's right, everything is starting to bloom and become a lovely lush green again.
The colour inspiration of 'succulent' can inspire those spring/summer vibes and make in light cotton, acrylics or even cotton ribbon you will be able to create something stunning to wear.
*Don't forget to pin and share!*
I'm inspired by a green colour palette, although I side more with the olive shades rather than the brights, the succulent green palette does have a certain quality about it that makes a statement.
In the stores around this time, you normally see a range of bright and bold lightweight knits for women that are geared for spring, so making your own in your preferred colour choice is a much better way of getting exactly what you want.
Below is a roundup of the Lion Brand patterns that I think will be practical for spring, knit in those succulent greens and in vanilla hues.
Featuring a range of sweaters, vests and a hat, this curated collection proves that these knits will keep you both warm and cool in spring.
