Experience

Louise founded Handy Little Me in 2014 and has worked full-time as a knitting and crochet pattern designer since 2017. Before developing Handy Little Me, she taught Art, Design, Graphics, and Textiles in UK colleges (higher education), including three years as Head of Art.

Expertise

Louise specializes in approachable knitting and crochet patterns, step-by-step technique tutorials, garments, accessories, and Outlander-inspired knits. Her work is designed to help beginners and more experienced makers build their skills and create pieces they feel proud of.

Education

Louise studied Art and Design before earning her degree in Textile Design, developing specialist knowledge of color, pattern, texture, yarn, and surface design. Her education continues to shape her approach to creating thoughtful, practical patterns that are both beautiful and enjoyable to make.
