“I don’t understand something in one of your patterns, how can I get help?”
If you see that you need help with any of my patterns, please get in touch via the contact page and I will try to get back to you as soon as I can.
There are tutorials on the knitting basics page or on the crochet basics page.
“I saw an error in one of Handy Little Me’s patterns. How can I let Louise know?”
Oh no! So sorry about that, thank you for catching it!!
Please send the details to Louise via the contact page.
Please note – All patterns are created in an attempt to be as accurate as possible but are made and tested by humans and therefore may contain errors.
“Can I sell items that are made using your patterns?”
Yes! Absolutely!
However, I do ask that you do not use any images posted by Handy Little Me unless you have received permission directly from Louise.
Please always remember to reference Handy Little Me as the pattern source for your item(s).
“Can I share your pattern(s) that I purchased with my friend/family member?”
No, please do not do that.
The person who has purchased the pattern is the only person that should be viewing the PDF.
If your friends or family members are interested in creating that same piece, please direct them to any of the platforms to purchase their own copy (Etsy/HLM shop).
Please remember that sharing the pattern is considered theft and just really disrespectful to the pattern designer.
“I want to offer certain products in my own shop using Handy Little Me’s patterns.
Can I use one of your photos until I am able to create my own product?”
Thank you for enjoying the designs and wanting to sell the finished items, however, please do not use any of the photographs on my website for your own purposes.
The photographs are either taken by me or other photographers that I employ or collaborate with.
If you want to offer a certain item but need to receive an order for it first prior to purchasing the pattern, you may reference the name of the pattern and a link to the pattern listing but please still do not use any of Handy Little Me’s images as your own.
“I ordered a pattern from Handy Little Me’s shop / Etsy shop but can’t find where to download it. Help!”
Once an Etsy purchase is made, you should receive an email from Etsy to the email you have on file with Etsy.
If you do not receive this email, you can access the files by clicking on your Etsy Purchases.
This section is available by clicking on your name/photo on a computer/tablet.
You cannot access the download files through the Etsy app. You MUST use a computer or tablet.
If you order a pattern through the Handy Little Me shop on this website, your files should be available for download as soon as you have completed your purchase.
If you have any problems with your download, please contact Louise through the contact page and she will help you to get your PDF(s).
“How can I get a new PDF?”
Please remember to save your PDFs at the time of download.
If you have a problem downloading your files after your purchase has been made, please get in touch (through the contact page or email) and Louise will email you the PDF(s).
It helps to keep your patterns on an external drive or saved in your email in the event that your phone/computer/tablet or any other electronic device becomes defective/lost/stolen/etc.
If, for any reason, you do need to access another PDF of a previous purchase, please contact us with your order number/purchase receipt copy, which site/shop you placed your order and a new PDF will be sent.
“I would love to contribute to The Handy Little Me blog, how can I sign up?”
Thank you for your interest in contributing to the blog!
If you are interested in submitting a guest post, please check out the work with me page for guidelines.
I would definitely be interested in collaborating with other designers/makers/photographers etc, so if you are interested in sharing a free pattern or some other content please get in touch with Louise either via the contact page.
