Fun Fall Activities – Your Complete Guide!
THIS ARTICLE CONTAINS AFFILIATE LINKS THAT SUPPORT HANDY LITTLE ME CONTENT AND FREE PATTERNS.In this post, you will see fun fall activities.
Fall is probably my favourite season, you can see the changing colours of the leaves and the crisp air in the mornings when you walk your dog.
Gone are the hot, lazy summer days of going to the beach or lying around the pool!
The first day of fall lets you know that it’s time to change over your closet, getting out those long-sleeved tops and jeans.
It’s also great weather to sit outside in comfortably, I like to relax outside with a book or my knitting, grabbing a blanket if it gets chilly.
My husband and I like to take long walks with Jason (our dog) in late September/October through the park in Corfu Town or in Mon Repos Palace.
That time of the year is just perfect for spending lots of time outside, better than the extremely hot months in the summer.

Fun Fall Activities
Fall is in my opinion by far the best time of the year.
The weather is ideal, Christmas is just around the corner, and there are endless ways to celebrate the season without breaking the bank.
Save some of your hard-earned cash and enjoy the beauty of Autumn with these free or super cheap autumn activities >
1. Decorate A Pumpkin
Why not decorate a pumpkin and make it pretty instead of carving it!
I would love to do this with gold pens and black paint, even spray painting polka dots or writing messages in fancy script.
You can use them to create Autumn centrepieces or arrange to make fall outdoor decorations.
There are some amazing ideas for gorgeous pumpkin decor from one of my favourite magazines Good Housekeeping.
I also found ideas on Pinterest, with pretty pumpkins, painted in white and various shades of grey.
2. Take A Bike Ride Or Autumn Walk
Taking some time out at the weekend to go for a bike ride or a walk in the crisp Autumn air will help you to relax and enjoy the beautiful landscape at this time of the year.
I love the changing colours of the leaves and hearing them crunch when you walk over them.
That’s one thing I really miss about living in England, the great places to go for Autumn walks.
Especially in Northumberland, where the National Trust has so many places you can go to enjoy the season.
3. Bake Something
I really love to bake at this time of the year – apple pies, cookies and other sweet treats!
I need the recipe books though or some help from my most favourite greek chef – Akis Petretzikis.
His wonderful website allows you to save your recipes for later and he adds new ones regularly.
I can spend a long time looking through the recipes on Pinterest and from magazines like Sweet Paul.
With wonderful photography and mouth-watering recipes, this magazine is a must-read! (They also have a make it section!)
4. Decorate Your Home For Fall
If you go on an Autumn walk, collect pine cones and other cool forest finds that you can turn into striking fall decor.
You can make pine cone garlands, fall pumpkin wreaths and fall table centrepieces.
If you love crafts, there are many ideas out there that will give you fall decorating ideas like these mini crochet pumpkins. – Pumpkin Crochet Pattern (Free, Easy + Adorable)
I found some excellent ideas from Country Living Magazine.
There are also many pretty ideas from Southern Living Magazine.
I like to get my home ready by adding rugs, comfy throws and pillows.
We also like to start getting the wood burner ready and adding fall scented candles to the living room.
I love the Yankee candles and my favourite fall scents are Apple Pumpkin, Harvest, Crisp Morning Air and Autumn Leaves. They just smell so good!
5. Read A Novel
Now that I have more time to be indoors, I plan on reading more.
I have just downloaded some new books for my Kindle (what would I do without that little guy!) including;
- The Divergent Series by Veronica Roth
- Me Before You by Jojo Moyes
- The Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon
I’m still reading the first Outlander book at the moment, by Diana Gabaldon.
So I’m grabbing a tea, my Kindle and a fluffy blanket to get cosy on the sofa and read….!
6. Knit Something Cozy
This is the perfect time of year to get knitting!
Find a new project and make something cosy to wear, there are so many free patterns out there, you will be spoilt for choice!
