Using simple knitting techniques and scrap yarn, this project is not only a fun, quick craft, but it’s also a fantastic way to turn your love of Eras tour friendship bracelets into a functional item.

Embroider letters onto knitted squares to mimic the letter beads used in traditional bracelets.

Plus, it’s perfectly sized for your notebooks or your favorite hardback book.

Let’s dive into the pattern!

  • Cast off in Yarn A.

Weave in all loose ends.

Next, add letters in the spaces knitted with Yarn C.

You can use the charts provided for this or embroider them freehand with the Yarn of your choice (Black or dark grey yarn would be good for this).

Block the work.

You can add beads, sequins, or other embellishments if you wish to personalize.

A typical Swiftie bracelet might have names like “TAYLOR,” “LOVE,” or “SWIFTIE.”

In addition, you can also make them with song lyrics or something more personal from the Eras tour concerts (like the surprise songs).

Create the Strap (Optional)

  • To make the bookmark extra Swiftie-inspired, you can knit a thin I-cord or crochet a chain that attaches to the end of the last square.
  • This can act as a strap that dangles out of your book or notebook, reminiscent of a bracelet loop.
  • You can also add a small tassel or charm at the end of the strap, similar to how we adorn our bracelets.

Block and Finish

  • Once you’ve sewn your letters onto the bookmark, give your bookmark a quick block to ensure the squares lie flat.
  • This will also help set the embroidered letters in place.
  • Weave in all ends securely.

Use and Enjoy!

Your Swiftie Bracelet Bookmark is now ready to adorn your favorite book or journal.

Whether you’re using it in your Taylor Swift-inspired poetry notebook or a treasured novel, this bookmark is a charming reminder of your Swiftie pride and love for handcrafts.
