Before You Get Started

Here’s what to know before you begin crocheting your summer-ready hat:

You’ll use single crochet, increases, and treble crochet to shape the hat and brim.

This is a fast project — it only takes 1–2 hours.

The pattern is worked in continuous rounds.

Raffia yarn gives the hat a sturdy structure, but cotton yarn can be used for a softer, more casual feel.

Finishing & Sharing

You did it! Style your hat with the brim up or down for versatile summer wear.

FAQs

→ Can I use a different yarn?

Yes! Cotton yarn makes a softer, more relaxed bucket hat.

Just be sure to check your gauge.

→ Do I need to use two strands for the brim?

It’s recommended for structure.

If you’re using cotton, you can use a single strand and add extra rounds.

→ Can I sell finished hats?

Absolutely! You may sell finished items made from this pattern — just don’t sell, share, or redistribute the pattern itself or use my photos.
