The Granny Triangle Shawl Pattern
With Yarn A – ch 3 and join with an sl-st to make a circle.
- Row 1: 3 ch (counts as 1st st) – now work into the circle – 3 dc, 3 ch, 3 dc, ch 1, 1 dc, turn,
- Change to Yarn B – Row 2: 3 ch, 3 dc in 1-ch space, ch 1, (3 dc, 3 ch, 3 dc) in the 2-ch space, ch 1. 3 dc in 1-ch space, ch 1, 1 dc, turn,
- Change To Yarn A – Row 3: 3 ch, *3 dc in 1-ch space, ch 1. Rep from * to 2-ch space (the middle space of the triangle). Now work (3 dc, 3 ch, 3 dc) in the 2-ch space, ch 1. *3 dc in 1-ch space, ch 1. Rep from * to last space, then ch 1, 1 dc in the same space, turn,
Rep row 3 (following the yarn color stripe sequence on page 3) until your shawl reaches this size or you run out of yarn:
- Length (laying flat and not stretched out) = 42 inches/107 cm
- Width (laying flat and not stretched out) = 70 inches/178 cm

Finish by doing an Sl-st into the last ch, secure the yarn, leaving a small length of around 4 inches, and cut.
You can then weave in the loose ends.
You can make it smaller or larger depending on your preferences, you can keep repeating row 3 until you get your desired size.
*Please note if you make it smaller you may need less yarn and larger you will need more yarn.
