THIS ARTICLE CONTAINS AFFILIATE LINKS THAT SUPPORT HANDY LITTLE ME CONTENT AND FREE PATTERNS.

In this post, you will see the top 10 patterns of 2021 from Handy Little Me.

There are many knitting and crochet patterns that have proven to be popular for lots of makers throughout the year.

I will also give you a breakdown of all the good stuff that happened with Handy Little Me during 2021.

A Year In Review

Starting the year off with a couple of collaborations, 2021 was a great year for Handy Little Me.

There was a partnership with a yarn company, an interview, and more.

Plus I released lots of new patterns throughout the year, including new sweaters like the one below.

Martin’s Lab Yarn Collaboration

I collaborated with Martin’s Lab on a few knitting and crochet designs featuring their gorgeous hand-dyed yarns.

There were 6 summer crochet patterns including this Diana Triangle Shawl Crochet Pattern and 4 knitting patterns including this Shades Of Water Shawl Knitting Pattern

I also created an easy top-down crescent shawl knitting pattern made from one of their beautiful fingering yarns in the color Inferno.

Crochet Book – Published by Quail Studio

Plus I designed 6 crochet bags that are featured in this book – Weekend Makes: Crocheted Bags: 25 Quick and Easy Projects To Make published by Quail Studio.

Ranging from everyday bags – a tote bag, a crossbody bag, and phone case to toy storage bags and a WIP (work in progress) bag.

You can buy the book from Amazon or Blackwell’s in the UK.

There was also an Interview in Let’s Knit Magazine…

Louise Bollanos was interviewed in the Aug 2021 issue of Lets’s Knit Magazine (UK) and was made their maker of the month on Instagram.

The interview featured 9 images from my Instagram grid that I then answered questions about.

It was amazing to be in a knitting magazine and I am really grateful for that.

We can’t forget the video message from actor Graham McTavish (Dougal MacKenzie from Outlander) giving us a lovely message.

He is a fan of the Outlander knits on the site and we shared the video for you to see.

It’s currently here on my YouTube channel here if you missed it.

For the love of the community…

The love from the knitting and crochet community was just amazing, with so many of you showing your support all year round.

Knitting and crocheting have been fantastic ways to help us get through the toughest of times.

Some of you were messaging me saying that my patterns were helping you through lockdowns, illnesses, and caring for others.

I’m so happy that I could be a part of your maker journey and provide you with patterns, tutorials, and help.
