The Black And White Scarf Knitting Pattern

Skill LevelEasy (Advanced beginners)

For this project, I chose The Petite Wool from We Are Knitters, a cozy, bulky-weight yarn that works up quickly and feels luxuriously soft.

The yarn’s smooth texture makes it perfect for this design, allowing the stark contrast between black and white stripes to really pop.

Plus, it’s the perfect thickness for cool autumn days without being too bulky around the neck, making it a versatile accessory throughout the season.

  • Weave in all loose ends.

Finishing: Once you’re happy with the length of your scarf, bind off/cast off loosely in the same color as your last stripe.

Use your tapestry needle to weave in all loose ends along the sides of the scarf.

For a polished finish, lightly block your scarf to smooth out any uneven edges and relax the fibers.

Since this is a wool-based yarn, blocking will help the scarf lie flat and show off those crisp, contrasting stripes.
