Knit Fingerless Gloves For Men
These simple fingerless gloves (or mittens you might like to say) are very practical to keep the hands and wrists warm while still allowing your fingers to be free, on a cold morning for driving, or other tasks.
They have a simple cable design running through the knitted fabric and thumbhole, with no knitted thumb.
You could adjust the length if you wanted to make them longer or shorter and there are three sizes to make, small, medium, and large.

Inspired By The Outlander Costumes
If you have been watching the Outlander TV series, in seasons one to five, you have probably noticed the beautiful costumes and knitted pieces that all of the characters wear.
This design was inspired by Jamie Fraser’s arm warmers in Outlander season 4.
You can see in the photos below that the arm warmers are very similar, knit with a simple cable design.

Notes
The gloves knit up quickly and the simple design makes for a relaxing and enjoyable knit.
The gloves are perfect for the colder weather, as they have been knit with bulky/chunky/12-ply yarn, which is a bulky-weight yarn (05).
Using knit and purl stitches, you will create the cable pattern, knit flat, back and forth on straight needles.
The thumb hole is created when you seam the gloves, you will leave a space for the thumb.
